Once that is completed, I go back into the playlist in iTunes, shows that it HAS NOT updated the key into the comments field. I have it set in MIK for the key to show up in the 'comments' field in iTunes. I then drag and drop my music from a playlist on iTunes to Mixed In Key, music is scanned (and sometimes not). In my playlist I will clear all the information that is in the comments field in iTunes. I am also having the same duplicate issue, but another issue has also occured. How do I fix this?Īfter this I started digging and I think I may have more duplicates, since I have about 20 more songs in Rekordbox than I do in iTunes. If I right click and hit "Show in Finder", they both point to the same file on disk. I can even click on both songs in Rekordbox and they play perfectly well. Now I have a song that is a duplicate, however there are no missing files in Rekordbox. I sort of just chalked this up to Rekordbox being posessed and have been dealing with it. I haven't been able to figure out any rhyme or reason as to why it does this, the songs it does it to are seemingly random, as some I haven't even touched in ages. I never thought much of this, so I just remove the missing one(s) from my Rekordbox collection. To fix this I just click File -> Display All Missing Files, and undoubtedly there's a duplicate of the file it just analyzed that's now missing. If I look around, I'll notice that there's a duplicate of an old track. Occasionally, I'll notice it analyzing more songs than it should. After that I copy over all of the playlists, replacing any that already exist. Rekordbox has been smart enough to only analyze the songs that have been added since the last time I've done this. I click on the iTunes bridge and then drag and drop "All Tunes" over to my Rekordbox collection. Once I'm ready to start dumping stuff to USB or SDcard, I'll start Rekordbox. I'll make sure that all of the ID3 tags are set up correctly, and after that, I'm good to go. iTunes is configured to copy the song into the iTunes media folder, so I'll delete the original after that. When I get a new song, I first run it through Mixed in Key, and after I'll drag it into iTunes. I have eleventy billion smart playlists organized by genre, key, artist, key compatibility, yadda yadda, and all of that works smashingly. I use iTunes to manage all of my music, and I'm super anal about how it's organized. Hello :) I'm not sure where to start, so I guess I'll explain the way that I manage and store my music which then leads up to the issue that I'm (intermittently) having.
